How “far” would you go for your wedding?
5 months before the wedding date, our Singapore couple John and Cynthia came to us with a big challenge. They wish to host a legalized marriage in Greece or ROM. Indeed, a tough task but an inviting challenge to us. The complicated paperwork, processes and bureaucracy at both source and destination country, are no mean feat. However we gladly accept the challenge! After initial exchanges of emails, we met! Have to mention that they are such wonderful couple to work with. After getting to know more about what they are looking for, we then gave them some insights of Santorini island and walk them through the wedding part.
Sparks went flying and next thing we know, they are off to the gorgeous Greek island of Santorini ! The arduous process was worthwhile. Joycelyn, our wedding consultant along with our associate in Greece gave it all to make sure the required paperwork are in good order. A heart-felt thanks to the Singapore officials and the Greek authorities.

The sun-basked Santorini
Arriving a day earlier gives the couple some time to settle down and get to know the island. We ran though the wedding day itinerary and do a little bit of rehearsal. On the actual day, the weather couldn’t be more kinder to the couple. The island basking under the warm Mediterranean sun with the breeze from the Aegean sea. What a perfect day for a unique wedding 10,000 miles from home! Our professional makeup and image stylist was on site to gave the bride a ravishing look for the wedding shoot. Next the couple embarked on a photo shoot in some of the picturesque villages and iconic locations on the island.

There are plenty of beautiful venues on the island of Santorini to host that perfect wedding. For instance, the white-washed blue dome chapels or perhaps on a yacht deck, maybe by a beautiful veranda of wineries or even the balconies and terraces of the hotels along the caldera rim. The couple chose to have it at a hotel’s terrace with beautiful views of the Aegean Sea during the late afternoon sunset period.
The Wedding
The prelude of musicians playing traditional Greek ceremonial music provide the cue for the bride to make entrance to the decorated ceremonial area. This is followed by a solemn ceremony under the supervision of the registrar. Followed by the exchanges of vows with the marriage ring which marks the beginning of the new chapter in the couple’s life.
No wedding is complete without the cake cutting and a toast with Vinsanto, a 15 year old sweet Santorini wine! After another short photography session with the couple retreating to a private dinner in a romantic Greek restaurant.

Following a few days relaxing in Santorini, the couple make their onward journey for their honeymoon in Greece and Italy. It was an extra-ordinary experience for everybody, nothing beats the feeling of a successful romantic destination wedding in the Aegean Sea & Mediterranean. Hear what John & Cynthia has to say
