Magical family holiday to Greece
This was the amazing travel story of Wenjing and Kassie’s families. The couple – currently working and residing in Singapore – came from Muar, Malaysia. It was about 6 months prior to their intended departure that they found Aegean Dreams travel and wedding team, and before we knew it, we were meeting at our Singapore office.
Speaking to the couple was a real pleasure, they knew exactly what they want from the trip. First, a good mix of history, culture, gastronomy, and sightseeing is a must. Next, a moderately-paced itinerary with some free time to soak up the atmosphere of each destination. Lastly, they toyed with the idea of holding a wedding ceremony in Santorini since their families are on the same trip. The exchanges of ideas and thoughts really helped as it did not take too long for our team to make proposals accordingly.
So there we have, a good visit to Athens – the land of mythologies and birthplace of western democracy, the gorgeous cosmopolitan island of Mykonos, and saving the best to the last, Santorini – arguably the gem of the Aegean sea – with its world-renown breathtaking landscape sculptured by mother nature. These alluring Greek destinations will definitely offer them a satisfying gastronomy experience, fun-filled activities for all ages, and plenty of Instagram-worthy spots that would capture the hearts of visitors.
Special moment in Santorini
We took great pleasure to plan and organize the trip and wedding for the couple and their families. Despite their visiting month being in June, which is the busy summer tourism period, decisive and swift arrangement ensured that they secured all essentials and necessities of the trip before their arrival. At the same time, weddings in Santorini also enter the peak season as couples from all parts of the world flocked to this romantic island to tie the knot. Therefore, early planning was crucial for a successful wedding.
The couple’s curated wedding venue was an open terrace perched over the cliff of the caldera overlooking the splendid Aegean sea. We could not have asked for a better day, the weather was perfect so was the calm and glittering sea. Prior to the ceremony commencing, our creative team arrived at the couple’s room for make-up and styling before heading out for a photoshoot session.
The families and guests then mingled at the ceremony venue while the couple did a final touched-up before emerging again. Decorated with fresh flowers and elegant drapes, the wedding pavilion stood beautifully along with the breathtaking scenery of Santorini behind it. Similarly, our bride Kassie looked ravishing as the groom Wenjing held her and strolled towards the pavilion. The celebrant oversaw the exchanged vows and rings. Finally, their families gave their blessings to end the ceremony on a high note.
Post-wedding
The group then spent some time for photos before being escorted to a chic restaurant for a gastronomic experience of Greek cuisine. There, they enjoyed the famed local wine while gazing at the stunning sunset of Santorini. The well-wishes shall continue to reverberate long after they return from Greece, and all of us at Aegean Dreams also sent our blessings to the couple.
