Jianxiong and Ziyu’s love story came a long way. Both left the comfort of their home to pursue their dreams in London. Jianxiong, our groom-to-be, came to us contemplating a wedding ceremony in Santorini. We had an interesting exchange of thoughts and ideas on how his ideal Santorini wedding might be.

What was initially meant to be an intimate occasion for the couple turned out to be something bigger than anticipated: A big reunion! Not only did they realize this is an excellent opportunity to share their joy with their close ones, but also they could invite their immediate family members and close friends from all over the world for a good time in Greece. “This is going to be a big reunion for us!” exclaimed Ziyu, our bride-to-be.

Hello Santorini

Santorini is one of the most popular destinations in the world and the most visited island in Greece. With a wide range of accommodation selections – from traditional houses, chic boutique hotels to luxury villas, the guests were spoiled for choices. “I wasn’t expecting that many options on a small island like Santorini.” said our groom. The couple eventually decided on a modern boutique hotel next to the caldera cliff-side. As for their group of guests, they were hosted in a variety of handpicked accommodations according to their needs and preferences, making sure they are well taken care of before the big day is as equally important as the wedding.

The wedding celebration started with a reception overlooking the majestic caldera and the sparkling Aegean Sea. We couldn’t ask for a more relaxed and delightful ambiance as the prelude to our long-awaited ceremony with blessings from family members and friends. Their journey to the Aegean ended on a high note with a sumptuous dinner served in a traditional cave setting with sumptuous Greek cuisine and local wine.

“Santorini is really beautiful…everything is fine except the strong windy day. Thanks for the gifts! All in all, thanks very much for your services!” our buoyant bride sent us a message after she returned to London.
