Early summer in June, a perfect time for a wonderful wedding in Santorini, isn’t it?
It was destiny that brought the beautiful couple Haoze and Jiangxue to us. The couple, both from China and working in Singapore, happened to chance upon an article about romantic destination wedding in Greece and it was love at first sight for them. They decided to get married in Santorini ! The first email came from the couple to us and talks about their dream wedding in Greece started 3 months before their wedding date. During the few rounds of discussion with the couple, we exchanged ideas about every single detail of their dream wedding, from their arrival on the island, to their wedding ceremony and wedding dinner.
After about a month of planning, the day came for the couple to set their foot on the romantic island of Santorini, the place where they will be getting married. The couple brought with them a wedding party of 2 bridesmaid and 2 groomsmen. Their idea was to host a symbolic wedding ceremony and have their marriage legally registered back home. The couple wanted the wedding to be simple but the same cannot be said for the extraordinary atmosphere and breathtaking backdrop. What could be more romantic and special than exchanging vows of eternity by the famous sunset of this island and blessings of closest family and friends.
Dinner was served with traditional Greek delicacies and cuisines, of course nothing is complete without a toast to this special day with some famous wines from Santorini. The island produces a wide range of wines, some are only available locally and you can get it elsewhere. Santorini indeed a great place for wine connoisseur, with many wineries and vineyards on the island open for visiting and wine tasting.
The couple retreated to their honeymoon suite with veranda opening to the beautiful caldera and spectacular landscape of this island. The suite is tastefully decorated with pieces of art from this region and along side with the iconic Cyclades architectural design. They left Santorini with fond memories of a truly unique experience of elopement style wedding in Greece.
